10 Ways To Use Your Nuttinosh Pistachio Butter

One of the questions I receive most often about Nuttinosh pistachio butter is “what exactly do I use it for?” And no worries, this is a great question!

I first came across pistachio butter when I was traveling with my husband and son all the way in Italy and had never heard of shelf-ready pistachio butter, much less had tried it myself. As a common product on the shelf, pistachio butter is still a relatively niche food item here in the United States. We certainly don’t see it near as often as an almond or cashew butter, though the health benefits of pistachio butter are quite similar or even rival that of other nut butters.

So today, I’m sharing “10 Ways to Use Pistachio Butter”! Whether you’ve come across my products on social media or came by my booth at the farmer’s market, you might be staring at your jar wondering what possibilities await you. Well, let’s brainstorm together!

1. In a smoothie!

An easy and delicious breakfast solution is using your pistachio butter in a smoothie or smoothie bowl. Add a spoonful to smoothies for a creamy texture and extra protein, or you can drizzle pistachio butter over a smoothie bowl and top with fruits, seeds, or granola. It’s a great way to start the day!

2. Over granola, cereal or yogurt as a topping!

You can stir your pistachio butter into warm oatmeal or drizzle it on top with some fruit and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Or, you can even layer it in a parfait with Greek yogurt, granola, and fresh berries. Similarly as mixing into smoothies, pistachio butter gives us a great source of protein to get our morning started.

3. As the secret ingredient to your baked goods.

Are you a baking connoisseur? Nuttinosh can bring your baking game to the next level! Swirled breads, muffins, cookies, chocolatey desserts, the possibilities are endless! Pistachio butter can add a great nuttiness factor to your next sweet treat.

4. Making at-home dressings and vinaigrette.

Nuttinosh makes a great addition to salad dressings and vinaigrettes that you can whip up in a pinch! You can whisk pistachio butter with olive oil, lemon juice, and a touch of garlic for a nutty salad dressing, or you can follow our Easy Pistachio Butter Salad Dressing recipe here.

5. On toast or crackers as a quick snack!

While there are so many ways that pistachio butter can enhance a recipe, it’s just as delicious all on its own! Just like any other nut butter, it can be an all-star snack that comes together quick and easy. On some toast in the morning, dip for apples in the afternoon, Nuttinosh stands on its own with unique and delicious flavor.

6. As a spread for sandwiches and wraps.

Looking for something easy? Replace peanut butter with pistachio butter in a tasty twist on the PB&J. Pistachio butter can compliment both the sweet and the savory, so try your hand at our Plant-Based Pistachio Butter Sandwich recipe!

7. An addition to your next charcuterie board.

Charcuterie boards are a great option for entertaining or to have an exciting at-home “tasting experience”! So, why not mix it up with some pistachio butter? Personally, I’m a fan of charcuterie boards because I can discover different flavor combinations I would have never thought of. So, get wild and creative!

8. As a nutty addition to a pasta dinner.

Did you know that pistachios grow well in Italy? Pistachio butter works wonderfully in the Mediterranean flavor profile, and can pair great with an earthy pesto or an acidic sun-dried tomato. Sounds amazing, right? Give it a try for a simple and delicious family dinner.

9. Making a delicious glaze for vegetable dishes.

If you’re a fan of a plant-forward side dish that’s rich in flavor, try making your own glaze or marinade with pistachio butter! Use it as a glaze for roasted carrots, brussels, even squash. Remember that you are the chef, and your creativity is a boon in the kitchen! For some extra pointers, you can check out our Roasted Carrots recipe.

10. In your very own ice cream or gelato!

Have you ever made your own sweet treat at home? This can be a great option for my dairy-free readers out there. I think pistachio gelato is one of those beautifully light and delicious desserts out there, and you can ab-so-lutely make it right in your own kitchen. For a fruit-based “nice” cream, I use our Nuttinosh pistachio butter with frozen bananas and mangos. My son, Everest, loves it!
